The farewell event

Due to the release of A level results, we had the farewell event today although we will still come tomorrow.
It was the word farewell that reminded us of the parting. Asked whether I would come again, I realised that I hated to part. Fortunately, I still have Friday and events during weekend.
We gathered in classroom B1-1. After several speech delivered, we gave our small handmade gifts to our buddies. My gift was a notebook with nice-looking wrapped by a plastic paper on which stick wooden letters spelling out my buddy’s name and a sticker reads “To Shao Yu’s buddy from SRJC ——” written using Chinese characters. The wooden letters were not stuck firmly so that he can reuse it on his locker. The notebook also had sheets appealing to write on. My buddy liked my gift although it was rough.
We looked through the magazine the JC gave me as a present, recognising the teachers that have given us lessons, and talked about the JC. After that he wrote some parting words on the magazine. He encouraged me to work hard in NTU and told me he values the friendship with me highly. I thanked him and we enjoyed the sandwiches and drinks kindly offered by the teachers in charge.
