This is my first day of JXP in Serangoon Junior College. As soon as we arrived at SRJC at 7 am, a gracious teacher greeted us and told us a lot of information about SRJC. We met our buddies before we started our classes.
My first impression of my buddy was very nice. He is tall and handsome. He brought me to the first tutorial of the day--Math tutorial.
Although the contents of the math tutorial was quite easy, I listened carefully throughout the class. I found out that the way Singaporeans solve math problems was quite different from what we did in China. They present the procedure very clearly, without omitting a single step. That is what we should learn from Singaporeans.
I also experienced chemistry, history, gp, pw, and also Chinese. During the Chinese class, we introduced ourselves in Mandarin and shared some of our interesting experiences. I particularly loved the Chinese tutor, who was so active in sharing her stories.
During break time, I had a lot of fun talking to my buddy and his friends. We discussed many differences between China and Singapore. That gave me a deeper understanding of Singapore culture. What's more, all my buddy's classmates are very fervent to me and they are also very curious.
The lunch in SRJC was quite cheap, also delicious, which satisfied me a lot. My only complaint is that the timetable is too tight for us to have time to rest. Hope we can have more fun in the following days of JXP.
