Feeling of JC Immersion --by Xiang Qikun

Four days have passed since the first day of our JXP. In the four days, I followed my buddy--Matthew Lim--everywhere he went most of the time, and I made friends with his classmates. As my buddy's Mandarin is poor, we communicated in English most of the time and I was delighted to noticed that my spoken English has been improving. All classmates in our class were very friendly to me and they even told jokes sometimes. I help them clarify some problems sometimes also.
The most interesting classes I found in SRJC are history and Chinese language. During the history lectures, the lecturer was very humorous, thus we were all engaged fully during the history classes. For Chinese classes, we not only spoke Mandarin, but also discussed some interesting topics in Mandarin. During one class, the topic was about how to take care of family. As I have been living far away from my family for a long time, the topic recalled a lot of my precious memory with my family. What's more, the problems and essays intrigued me a lot, and I finally got to see Chinese problems after neglecting Chinese classes for such a long time.
This afternoon, we had a farewell party. During the party, teachers and students expressed their feeling and I was really impressed. Thinking that we will leave SRJC tomorrow made me a little sad. I really treasure the moment I spent in Serangoon JC with my buddy, other classmates as well as teachers.
