Look back on my days in SRJC

Time flies so quickly. It's not long since my buddy and I became familiar with each other; unfortunately today we have our farewell meeting.
Look back on my days in SRJC, I experienced much and gain much. I know how Singaporean's education system runs; I see how many colorful activities they have and how much pressure they undergo in their study; and I also made quite a few local friends.
These are some advantages and disadvantages I found in Singapore's education system.
The first advantage is that the interaction between classmates is strong and the atmosphere in class is very relaxed. In Singapore, the size of a class is smaller than that of China, so everybody in the class knows each other better. Thanks to the small size of class, teachers can freely organize various activities such as presentation and discussion; while in China, it will take too much time if everyone has to say something. As a result, the classes become funny and relaxing.
The next advantage is that the teachers here pay much attention to broadening students' horizontal. Every student here has a CCA to take part in; while in China, joining clubs is considered as a waste of time. Besides, during tutorials, English teachers always talk about the current affairs with students and ask for their own opinions; and science teachers always ask students to read about the latest news in technology. In this way, students can be more responsible to the society.
There is also a disadvantage: every class is flexible, for each tutorial they have different classroom and sometimes even different students; and there is no conductor teacher who organize after-school activities for the class. So the consciousness as a group may be weak. But it's touching to see that in P.E. class, while the boys are running, all the girls are cheering them up and saying something positive to support them.
The JC immersion is very meaningful. I hope we can keep in touch with our buddies and make more local friends to know more about Singapore.
